It's time to pick up the slack and we'll be starting a new mini series here on the blog; and its basically going to be the typical 'Monthly Favourites'. But hopefully you guys can try out any of the things we've been digging for the month.
Before we go on, I wanted to give a big shoutout to Rhiannon B. and Iona B. ! These sweet honeys are actually reading these very words!!! Seriously though, when people say they read this blog it is such a huge compliment to us because we just assume that no one reads our ramblings! Thank you thank you! So you guys are motivating us to get back onto updating our little hub here.
So anywho, back to the 'bloggy' part of this post.
Last month can be summed up within the collage below; warm tones, smothering my cat because she's basically a fuzz ball that I wish I could make a pillow out of, realising that Brisbane has so many old buildings, layers, rose gold and unachieveable tousled hair. All of this omitting the parts where I've had six assignments due in 3 weeks, break outs, late nights oh and the fact that its bloody freezing. Yah, but it definitely looks like I have a 'glamorous' life.

This collage took a good 2 hours to photograph, compile and filter the heck out of it! Photo Credit of the Casino goes to my good friend Tiffani @tiffelss on ig (check her out for more!) |
Top 5 May Feels
1. When it's so darn cold outside that you can see your breath and decide to wear 5 layers.
2. When you just don't want to leave your nice bed or a hot shower and want to hibernate all month.
3. When you don't understand why social media explodes all out about Caitlin Jenner. I get it that's great and all but thats a lot of media fixating on one thing.
4. Actually looking forward to the holidays without the thought of school work.
5. Getting through assessments and exams and reforming what was a non-existent social life.
Top 5 May Favourites
1. Lately I've been really into blush and warm tones paired with rose gold. At the same time I've also been wearing quite a few faded, cool and muted blues. Really whatever I feel like on the day. I've actually been wearing colour guys, you should be proud of me.
2. Lots of winter layers; long coats, scarves, blazers and basically blankets that are deemed socially acceptable to wear out! It has been getting really chilly in the mornings, so much so that the tips of my fingers start to tingle and numb. I got to raid my mums scarf collection and managed to snag 5 scarfs LOL and I've been wearing thick coats despite how odd I look because they have to be worn!

My favourite coat is this long length navy one from Ellen Tracy. |

Yep, layers upon layers upon layers! Feel free to add me on Snapchat @mlle_chelsea |
3. Kicks, kicks, kicks everywhere! I don't know why I have an affinity for mens kicks and high tops in general. I just think they look so cool and not to mention how ridiculously comfy they are. It all started with the first pair of high tops I bought 2-3 years ago and it flourished from there! Last Christmas my brother bought me Converse high tops and I love them! Its just paranoia keeping them clean. So I just keep looking at all of these photos and I dunno, I just want them all even if they look like for men. Guess I'm just digging that mens style trend. You will probably catch me wearing my high tops with my faux sweat pants all the time. Its just so comfy, warm and easy to chuck on. Love!

Clockwise: Rick Owens Geo Baskets (credit to styleforum.net). I seriously love these but they retail for $1,700. Like why? Why?! Secondly, Alexander Wang shoes from his H&M Collaboration, My Jo Mercer shoes, and lastly, Saint Laurants (credit to @lookingthroughhercloset) |

Converse, Jo Mercer, Sandler. Let the family grow. |
4. And just to chuck this one in because it's my favourite floral scent; the Lancome Tresor in Love. Have a sniff of it next time you're at the counter and see what you think.
5. Music. Just Lately I've been listening to so much music! I've just been reminiscing those 'old school' (not even) tunes from the 00's. People like Missy Elliot, Ciara, Christina Aguileria even Will Smith haha! They are just so fun to listen to. I also listen to instrumental music everyday. I find that it actually helps me concentrate when studying and every night when I sleep. I recommend the composer Jeremy Soule. He does a lot of background gameplay music so I'll add him below if you wanna see what he's all about. Give it a crack and try listening to the first 3 minutes. Great study music!
So those were all the things I was digging for the Month of May! (And still am crushing on!)
